The troop's first pancake breakfast was held in 2008 in partnership with the New City Ambulance Corps.

This year's event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon to raise funds for the troop and to help community organizations, including People to People, Rockland County’s largest food pantry.

The troop has donated more than $1,000 per year with monies raised from the event.

But, food isn't the only thing attendees will find during the event. The scouts work hard throughout the year coming up with prizes for raffles that will take place, to add a little excitement to the pancakes and eggs. Previous raffle prizes include a kayak, timeshare weeks, Broadway theatre tickets and New York Yankees tickets.

The scouts themselves act as servers, greeters and cooks' assistants during the event.

Tickets are available in advance and at the door. To learn www.troop97newcity.org.
